The Lovely Grand Bakeshop

Firstly the staff make quite an impression! Its amazing. Secondly the cookies and treats they have are truly out of this world. Thirdly the Chocolate Chip Cookies defy cookie physics, in a manner that can only be described as perfection. So perfectly encased with a shell the inside of the cookie is true heaven. Little crunch on the outside with warm sweet chocolate chips on the inside. Yes folks it’s that good. We had placed an order for a special person we love a while back. The selection was Amazing. The staff went out of their way to choose the right sweet gifts. Valerie Ryan and her staff know their stuff, they prove it, and its gotta be seen. On a recent venture from 3 hours away, we decided we needed to have these treats in our lives also. The box of treats will be pictured below. Yes, some are missing. Had to sample them to leave this review. You’ll see. Just go - you need these treats in your lives also. You will not regret it.

A really lovely cafe and restaurant in Bonavista. We stopped by for coffee and cake while walking around town. The home made cakes are delicious and coffee was full of flavor. In the evening they offer a small dinner menu of locally sourced food. We decided to take dinner here also, the wait staff were so nice and made the evening very relaxed and welcoming. .... the salmon was so tasty. I would definitely recommend popping into The Lovely Grand Bakeshop for cake, snacks or dinner if you get the chance.

An absolutely lovely place for treats, coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff is so pleasant! The ambiance and decor is delightful, cozy and bright. Everything we ordered was beyond delicious. The touton breakfast sandwich is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever eaten! And the roasted potatoes as a side were so tasty. The partridgeberry scone was divine! As well as the very popular flakie! I would recommend to anyone visiting bonavista to visit this absolute gem of a bakery and eatery!!! I would also recommend to dine in if you can it’s just such a lovely place to stay and enjoy the delicious food.

Had lunch at a new place in Bonavistia this year "The Lovely Grand Bakeshop" . Its in a beautifully renovated older building that is decorated just beautiful a really pleasant place to grab lunch or a nice desert. We had lunch there and it was wonderful.

Great food, service, atmosphere, and hospitality! The Lillie pizza and caprese salad were excellent. The partridge berry scone was huge and delicious. The coffee great.

I can see why this place is busy, they have incredible food! I had their touton breakfast sandwich and it was perfect. I also had their vanilla iced coffee and wow this was my ideal iced coffee! Not too sweet, just the right amount of coffee, and the taste was consistent every time I ordered it, no matter who made it. I also had their pesto pasta with chicken for supper and it was grilled to perfection and the pesto was very fresh. Their baked good selection was huge, and everyone one of them were massive! The staff were all so nice and I loved the decor. Was very happy with the food and service.

Wow. This place is an absolute gem. Gorgeous decor and delicious food. The baked goods are amazing and items we bought were still fresh and delicious 2 days later. We also ate in the dining space for both lunch and dinner. The tomato and mozzarella salad was a special standout. The owner is a delight and we also loved the shop next door.
